Maricopa County Correctional Health Services provides behavioral health services and medical services to all the jails within Maricopa County Sheriff's Office. They provide the following services to inmates in jail and those preparing to leave jail: (1) narcan for inmates leaving jail (2) Methadone continuation and induction (3) Vivitrol program (4) Substance use initiative-collaborative with multiple community agencies (5) Mosaic program - 6 week program for sentenced inmates (6) Reach in and Reach out programs with outside agencies for sentenced inmates. MOSAIC program is addressing the whole individual including the substance misuse and addiction. Substance abuse initiatives is focused on addressing substance misuse throughout the jails. Education is provided, MAT, and naloxone distribution is also provided. SBIRT screening are completed during intake.
